WE WILL ROCK YOU WAS AMAZING!!!
What can be better than songs by one oy my favourite bands performed by awesome singers, with spectacular sets, effects, and sexy outfits, haha. The whole story was also clevely put together, lots of jokes here and there, some even in the context of Singapore, haha. Loved it. And there were times when the mic stopped working, but the performers continued acting their parts out as if nothing happened. Really professional.
Basically the story is about how in the year 2040, all instruments has been banned, and no one is allowed to create their own music. Only this company called globalsoft create the music. There is however this group of rebels called the Bohemian's who are fighting for music. They are led by songs and lyrics of the pass which they found. There is a prophecy that there will be this guy who has dreams of all these music, and will find the lost instruments buried by the band Queen, who predicted the end of rock and roll.
The bohemians all had weird names which they foud in magazines. There was this really buff guy called vitoria beckham and his girlfriend ozzy osbourne, haha. And this guy wearing a bra called madonna. One was even called dick lee, haha.
There was this part whre they captured the main character galileo figaro and questioned him about his diary. In his diary were lyrics which he heard from his dream but didn;t quite understand. Then they guy asked him what does "a bap bap a doo bap a bap bap bap mean? Why is the rain purple, and Why is everybody kung fu fighting?, Fried Rice paradise?" Hilarious shit, haha.
I also like the way they use the lyrics from the song as script which fits the story. Like the part when the lightning hit the stone which revealed the guitar. The old man said "Thunder bolts and lightning! Very very frightening" (from the song Bohemian Rhapsody), haha. And how they came up with the song we will rock you at the end.
And of course what is the play without one of Queen's most love song Bohemian Rhapsody. It was really cool how they put it in. The plot of the show sort of ended already. Then it said on the proejction, do you want bohemian rhapsody? And everyone cheered, haha. The guitar solos were great too.
I wanna watch again, haha. But it's expensive =(
