this weekend was a totally slack weekend except for the tree top walk at macritchie.. some launch of the HSBC care for nature stamp series... what was surprising was that the minister was actually like enthusiastic about it unlike the rest i've seen who launched the other stamp series... didnt see much birds and all but heck.. it was quite fun walking up among the trees.. when i got back to tampines and received a copy of TODAY i was seriously sickened by human actions.. what did the birds ever do to us... its not their fault that they "spread" bird flu.. its like the civet cats.. they killed all of them cause the chinese ate them in china and contracted SARS.. like who's fault is it.. its all humans fault... why should other species be slaughtered when they didnt do anything wrong... its only a few carrying the virus.. why should they all be killed... why dont you kill and entire popultion of people with AIDS so it doesnt spread.. its the same thing... they kill just as many people.. let the pandemic happen and 7 million people die.. we can all learn from it... god created the world for everything to live together.. we were not suppose to eat the animals in the first place.. so why should they be blamed and killed inhumanely... why dont we just shove all with AIDS in a dustbin or a ditch and burn them... if you can do it with thousand of chickens and ducks and what have you.. a slight decrease in the human population shouldnt matter.. what are the WWF doing about all this... someone needs to put a stop to all this animal violence... the birds are just an obvious target to blame... why cant we just blame ourselves for what goes on.. we caused it... we cause global warming, we cause pollution... we are all just slowly killing ourselves and everything around us... its about time something serious like the bird flu comes and kills a great deal of people.. only then may we learn.. we should all be ashamed of ourselves...
